The Royal Waterside development is a vast regeneration of the former Guinness distillery and industrial areas within Park Royal, providing over 250 new luxury residences in a sought-after location surrounded by parkland. The scope of works required by Redrow Homes at Royal Waterside provided Barretts of Aspley an opportunity to display its speciality in providing a bespoke balcony design in co-ordination with a tactful planning and installation strategy.
With a project of this size, the ability to deliver on multiple elements of work alongside the large volume of balconies proved to be crucial. The client’s requirements for Brickslip cladding and Parklex® provided a fresh challenge in ensuring continuity when it came to the design and alignment of the brickwork finish once installed on site as this had to match the existing brickwork on the building. By taking full advantage of the unrivalled production facility available at BOA, all elements of fabrication and assembly were completed away from site which allowed for full quality control at each stage of manufacture and allowed for flexibility in the installation strategy.
