Barretts of Aspley supplies thousands of balconies per year to many of the large residential projects throughout the UK. Our facilities enable us to produce finished balconies on a large scale and store at our factory ready for delivery to site.
Anchors and Stubs:
All balcony installations will require either a cast in anchor (RC frames) or postfix anchor (precast frames) to connect the balcony to the building. We have developed our own anchor system which includes a structural thermal break and stub bracket, providing 20mm of adjustment vertically and horizontally. These are provided with jigs to assist the frame contractor with correct setting out. We also accommodate proprietary systems if already chosen by the client.
Balconies:
We offer our clients bespoke steel balconies utilising our two balcony systems;
- Bolt-on balcony system- Bottom-up installation
- Top fix balcony system- Bottom-up or Top-down installation
Both systems come fully assembled with balustrade, decking, fascia’s and soffits ready for installation straight from the lorry. All of our balconies are designed with minimal deflection and for many years now we have been manufacturing balconies to double the industry structural performance standard (L/180) providing the end-user with a higher comfort level.
